Shale Driller Validus Energy Weighs a Sale Amid Oil’s Rally

Validus Energy, an oil driller that just nine months ago bought assets from Ovintiv Inc., is now exploring selling itself, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The Denver-based company is in talks with bankers and aims to launch a sale process as soon as March, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks are private.
