The Seidler family has announced it will consider selling the San Diego Padres, potentially at a record valuation for an MLB team.

The decision follows a highly successful 2025 season that saw the team net over $500 million in revenue, according to three people familiar with the matter, with 72 of the team’s 81 home games selling out. The Padres finished second in total MLB attendance this season, behind only the Los Angles Dodgers.
