Randall Stephenson Steps Down From PGA Tour’s Policy Board

Randall Stephenson, a former AT&T Inc. chairman, has resigned from the PGA Tour’s policy board, just as the golfing tournament prepares to defend its proposed merger with Saudi-backed LIV Golf.

Stephenson resigned after serving on the board for more than 12 years, the PGA said Sunday in a letter to golfers and members that was seen by Bloomberg News. The Washington Post earlier reported the resignation, saying that Stephenson had expressed “serious concerns” about its partnership with the Saudis.

A spokesperson for the PGA didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment outside regular business hours.
