The Qatar Investment Authority is in talks to buy the luxurious Grosvenor House Suites apartment-hotel on London’s Park Lane at a knock-down price after the pandemic shut down the city’s tourism industry.
The sovereign wealth fund has offered about 330 million pounds ($425 million) for the building overlooking Hyde Park, but has yet to finalize terms, said people familiar with the matter, asking not to be identified because the talks are private.
