‘PUBG’ Developer Plans a Spending Spree in Search of More Hits

Krafton Inc., the developer of hit title PUBG: Battlegrounds, plans to spend more than 200 billion won ($136 million) this year to invest in over a dozen promising game studios, underscoring its ambition to become a global force in publishing.

South Korea’s biggest gaming company is expanding its portfolio of original content and pairing that strategy with years of investment in artificial intelligence, Chief Executive Officer Kim Changhan said in an interview.
