PR Firm Brunswick Valued at $700 Million in BDT Capital Deal

BDT Capital Partners, the merchant bank run by dealmaker Byron Trott, agreed to acquire a stake in Brunswick Group in a transaction valuing the public-relations firm at 500 million pounds ($700 million), people familiar with the matter said.

Chicago-based BDT is buying a 10.7% stake in Brunswick and will get one seat on its board, according to an internal memo seen by Bloomberg. The transaction, announced to Brunswick employees on Wednesday, will help support 140 million pounds of cash payments to partners including Chairman Alan Parker.
