PJT Hired Aggressively Ahead of Expected M&A Boom, Taubman Says

PJT Partners Inc. Chief Executive Officer Paul Taubman said next year could be the second-biggest for mergers and acquisitions in a decade, and his firm has been on an “aggressive” hiring spree to prepare.

“We are on the verge of a really big uptick in M&A,” Taubman said Wednesday in a Bloomberg Television interview from a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. conference. “My prediction is, other than 2021, which was an aberrational year, this could easily be the best M&A year we’ve had in, say, 10 years.”
