Pimco Hires Goldman’s Karoui for New Private, Public Credit Role

Pacific Investment Management Co. hired former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. chief credit strategist Lotfi Karoui in a newly created role across public and private markets.

Karoui will join the firm’s New York office as a multi-asset credit strategist, working closely with its investment committee and portfolio implementation teams, the firm said in a statement Monday. He’ll also be co-head of client solutions and analytics.

Karoui was responsible for research and views on global credit markets at Goldman Sachs, where he worked for 18 years.
