OpenAI Buys Polish Startup Neptune to Improve AI Modeling (1)

OpenAI agreed to buy Neptune, a Polish startup that makes tools for analyzing progress during AI model training, in its first investment in the eastern European country.

The transaction will be in stock, but the developer of ChatGPT declined to disclose specific terms. OpenAI paid less than $400 million for the Warsaw-based company, the technology website Information reported, citing people familiar with the deal.
