Novo to Tap Catalent’s ‘Underutilized’ Production, CEO Says (1)

Novo Nordisk A/S plans to exploit “underutilized” production capacity from its purchase of three Catalent Inc. plants to beef up supplies of the Danish drugmaker’s blockbuster diabetes and weight-loss drugs, Chief Executive Officer Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen said.

The purchase is “a play on idle capacity that we can utilize to serve many more patients,” the CEO said in an interview Wednesday on Bloomberg TV. “There is a huge opportunity that we are looking at.”
