Nomura’s M&A Asia Ex-Japan Co-Head Shah Said to Leave Bank

Apoorva Shah, Nomura’s co-head of M&A for Asia excluding Japan, has left the Japanese bank, according to people familiar with the matter.

  • Shah joined Nomura in 2014 in Hong Kong, according to his LinkedIn profile
    • Prior to Nomura, he worked for Standard Chartered, Deutsche Bank and Citi in various locations
  • Separately, Hajime Higuchi was made joint head of international M&A from April and relocated to Singapore in that role in August, one of the people says
  • Higuchi was formerly joint head of M&A for Asia ex-Japan with Pei Shen Chou, who became sole head of M&A for Asia ex-Japan ...
