Morgan Stanley Taps BofA’s Kumbhat to Co-Lead Banks M&A (1)

Morgan Stanley has hired investment banker Ashish Kumbhat from Bank of America Corp. to help lead its bank advisory group, according to people familiar with the matter.

Kumbhat will join the New York-based firm in the fall as co-head of banks and diversified financials, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren’t public. He will work alongside Elizabeth Jacobs.

Representatives for Morgan Stanley and Bank of America declined to comment.
