Millennium Management has hired former Balyasny Asset Management associate portfolio manager Matthew Lubman, who helped run the firm’s merger-arbitrage strategies, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Lubman will join Izzy Englander’s multistrategy hedge fund firm in the coming months as a senior portfolio manager, said the people, who asked not to be identified because they’re not authorized to speak publicly. Lubman was previously an analyst at Surveyor Capital and TIG Advisors, according to his LinkedIn profile.
