KKR Hires Reverence’s Chary for Financial-Services Investing

KKR & Co. said it hired Reverence Capital Partners’ Sasank Chary to focus on investments in financial-services and financial-technology businesses.

Chary, who has more than 15 years of investing experience in the sector, joins as a managing director in New York on KKR’s financial-services industry team, part of the firm’s Americas private-equity group.

The financial-services private equity team’s investments span insurance, payments, wealth management, fintech, specialty finance and banking. It has deployed about $8 billion on investments including insurance distributor Integrated Specialty Coverages and wealth manager Focus Financial Partners.
