KKR Adds to Health-Care Flurry With Nordic Bioscience Stake

KKR & Co. has invested in Danish biotechnology group Nordic Bioscience A/S, adding to a busy year of health-care dealmaking for the private equity firm.

Nordic Bioscience said in a Wednesday statement that KKR has bought a minority stake from existing shareholders, without disclosing financial terms. KKR invested about $100 million, people familiar with the matter said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential information.

KKR will support the expansion of the company, which owns more than 150 patents, according to the statement. It invested in Nordic Bioscience through its Health Care Strategic Growth Fund. A representative for KKR ...
