The European Commission on May 3 cleared Kellogg to acquire the entire Pringles Snack business from Procter & Gamble.
All the parties are U.S. companies. Kellogg produces ready-to-eat cereal and convenience foods—including cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, fruit-flavored snacks, frozen waffles and, vegetable foods. Pringles Snack produces and sells “Pringles” potato chips and “Pringles Stix.”
The commission examined the transaction under the simplified merger review procedure.
