Huatai Hong Kong Is Said to Hire JPMorgan’s Chen as Head of ECM

Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Ltd. is hiring Cathy Chen from JPMorgan Chase & Co. to head equity capital markets, according to people familiar with the matter.

Chen will be based in Hong Kong and join Huatai in August, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information isn’t public. Chen has worked for JPMorgan as an ECM banker in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Huatai didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. JPMorgan declined to comment.
