Hedge Fund Investor Buys Part of Small Cap Stock Picker Otus (1)

Canepa Global Managers has taken a minority equity stake in London-based Otus Capital Management in a boost to the hedge fund that has specialized in picking smaller companies for the past two decades.

The deal includes an investment of $60 million into Otus’s flagship Maga Smaller Companies hedge fund from an investor introduced by Canepa, lifting firm-wide assets to $670 million, according to Otus founder Andrew Gibbs. He declined to disclose any more of the deal terms.
