Gucci Owner Kering Expands Eyewear Unit With Lindberg Purchase

Kering SA is buying Lindberg for an undisclosed sum, adding the Danish eyewear brand to a portfolio that already includes fashion labels Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.

The eyewear division of Kering is buying 100% of the Lindberg brand from the family that created the company in 1969, according to a statement Thursday. The deal is expected to close in the second half of this year, after competition authorities give their clearance.
