Greece Said to Plan Sale of Its Piraeus Stake as Early as March

Greece plans to sell its entire 27% stake in Piraeus Bank as soon as early March, according to people familiar with the matter, as the government accelerates its divestment program.

The asset — held by the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund — has attracted significant interest from potential investors, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information. The plan is for the books to open and close in the first week of March, the people said, adding no details have been firmed up yet.
