Goldman Strategists See Rebound for Sluggish European IPO Market

Goldman Sachs strategists expect the “depressed” European initial public offering market to accelerate over the coming months, joining a rebound that’s already under way in the US.

The team led by Guillaume Jaisson anticipates a bounce back following one of the weakest quarters for European IPOs in recent years, spurred by positive headlines and strong performances by quality issuers after recent listings. European IPO activity typically increases about three months after an uptick in the US, the strategists wrote.
