Goldman-Backed Acronis Scores CVC Funds at $2.5 Billion Value

Cybersecurity provider Acronis raised more than $250 million from CVC Capital Partners VII, a deal that pushes the company’s valuation past $2.5 billion.

The startup, which has dual headquarters in Singapore and Switzerland, was last valued at more than $1 billion when Goldman Sachs Group Inc. led a $147 million funding round in 2019.

Chief Executive Officer Serguei Beloussov is working to integrate data protection and cybersecurity into a single solution for customers and information technology service partners, a bid to disrupt traditional IT security vendors.
