Getty Images Sued for Blocking Warrants From Being Exercised (1)

Getty Images Holdings Inc. was sued by an investor that claims public warrant holders were denied the right to buy shares after the company merged with a blank-check firm, allowing insiders to reap hundreds of millions of dollars in incentives.

Alta Partners LLC filed the suit Wednesday in federal court in New York alleging the provider of stock and news photos schemed to prevent investors from exercising more than 20 million public warrants by claiming they were not registered with US securities regulators.
