Gaw Capital Said to Near Purchase of Singapore Office Tower (1)

Private equity firm Gaw Capital Partners is in final talks to buy a 20-story office building in Singapore’s financial district, according to people familiar with the matter.

The tower may fetch S$588 million ($437 million), the people said, asking not to be identified discussing a private transaction. It’s currently owned by AEW Global Advisors, which bought it from CapitaLand Commercial Trust for S$516 million in 2018.

With a net lettable area of 202,695 square feet, the price of the property at 20 Anson Road translates to about S$2,900 per square foot. A representative for AEW said it’s not able to ...
