The Federal Trade Commission is seeking public comment on an application by Polypore International, Inc. for approval to divest all stock and assets related to Microporous to Seven Mile Capital Partners.
The FTC challenged the consummated merger between Polypore and Microporous on the ground that the merger allegedly had reduced competition in four North American markets for battery separators, a key component in flooded lead-acid batteries. The FTC demanded total divestiture of the Microporous assets 238 ATD, 12/14/10.
