Freshfields Taps Hayes, Cichy as Co-Heads of Global Transactions

Law firm Freshfields LLP has appointed two partners as its co‑heads of global transactions, at a time when a raft of mega mergers and acquisitions have helped dealmakers notch their best start to a year.

UK-based Charles Hayes and Patrick Cichy in Germany will jointly take the helm from May 1, according to a statement reviewed by Bloomberg News.

The two partners succeed Julian Pritchard, who has completed his term as global transactions head and will focus on his client practice. Hayes and Cichy will continue to maintain their practices alongside their leadership roles.
