Forescout Technologies to Be Bought by Advent for $1.9 Billion

Cybersecurity company Forescout Technologies Inc. is being acquired by private equity group Advent International in a deal valued at $1.9 billion.

Advent will pay $33 a share for the San Jose, California-based company, according to a statement Thursday. The acquisition comes amid a wave of consolidation in the industry. Private equity firm Thoma Bravo agreed late last year to buy British cybersecurity firm Sophos Group Plc for $3.8 billion.
