FireEye Agrees to Sell Cyber Product Business for $1.2 Billion

FireEye Inc. will sell its FireEye product business for $1.2 billion to a consortium led by Symphony Technology Group, the company said Wednesday.

The deal will separate FireEye’s network, email, endpoint and cloud security products from its cyber-research and incident response arm, Mandiant. Rights to the FireEye name will also be part of the sale, according to a company statement.
