EQT Offers to Buy Another Nordic Private Passenger Company

Swedish private equity firm EQT AB is seeking to buy Norwegian private passenger transport operator Torghatten ASA in a deal valued at 8.6 billion kroner ($990 million).

The EQT Infrastructure V fund is offering 175 kroner a share in cash for the 142-year-old company, which operates ferries, express boats, buses and aircraft. A 66% stake in regional airline Wideroe isn’t included in the offer price and will be distributed to shareholders, the Stockholm-based firm said in a statement on Wednesday.
