Deutsche Bank Hires Former Macquarie Software Banker McCarthy

Deutsche Bank AG has hired former Macquarie Group Ltd. investment banker Sean McCarthy to cover technology companies, according to a company memo obtained by Bloomberg.

McCarthy, hired as a managing director, will be based in New York on the bank’s software origination team. He was previously co-head of software at Macquarie for two years. Prior to that, he spent most of his 20-year career at Royal Bank of Canada, the memo shows.

A Deutsche Bank representative confirmed McCarthy’s hiring.
