Credit Suisse Leveraged Finance Banker Brinkmann to Join Mizuho

Mizuho Financial Group Inc. hired Credit Suisse Group AG leveraged finance managing director Stephen Brinkmann, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Brinkmann, who’s based in New York, will join the Japanese firm’s US arm after a period of garden leave. He has worked at Credit Suisse since 2018 and before that, held roles at Deutsche Bank AG and Royal Bank of Scotland, Finra records show.

Representatives for Mizuho and Credit Suisse declined to comment.

The Japanese bank has hired other senior bankers from the Zurich-based firm, including its co-head of leveraged-finance origination and restructuring Jeb Slowik. Credit ...
