Credit Head Baumgarten Exits TPG Angelo Gordon After Merger (2)

Joshua Baumgarten, co-managing partner and head of credit at TPG Angelo Gordon, is leaving the firm after its purchase last year by TPG Inc.

Baumgarten, who was formerly co-chief executive officer of Angelo Gordon, resigned from his position as a director effective Oct. 7 and will transition from the company by year-end, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Monday.

TPG didn’t provide any reason for his departure though the filing said it “did not result from any disagreements” regarding the firm’s operations, policies or practices. Baumgarten didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
