Corteva Plunges as Split Proposal Sparks Investor Skepticism

Corteva Inc.’s split of its seed and pesticide businesses has failed to convince investors it will deliver any value.

The spinoff of Corteva’s seed segment, which will be led by current Chief Executive Officer Chuck Magro, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026. The decision to separate, Magro said in a Wednesday call with investors, was about giving customers more options and choice while allowing “both businesses the freedom to operate without having to look out for the other.”
