ConocoPhillips Looks to Divest Part of Stake in Port Arthur LNG

Major US gas and oil producer ConocoPhillips is looking to divest part of its 30% equity in Sempra Energy’s Port Arthur liquefied natural gas project, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be named because the information is private.

ConocoPhillips declined to comment, citing that the company doesn’t comment on ongoing business development or commercial activities unless it’s through formal announcements.

The Port Arthur terminal is currently under construction in Texas and is targeted to start in 2027.
