Concentrix to Acquire Webhelp in Deal Valued at $4.8 Billion (1)

Concentrix Corp., which helps brands improve customer service, agreed to acquire Webhelp in a transaction valued at approximately $4.8 billion, including debt.

Webhelp will get 14.9 million shares in the transaction, as well as €500 million ($542 million) in cash and a €700 million note payable in two years, according to a statement Wednesday. Concentrix shareholders will own about 78% of combined company.

The merger will give Concentrix a bigger presence in Europe, Latin America and Africa, where Webhelp offers customer experience services. The total market for such offerings, known as CX, is greater than $550 billion, according ...
