CNBC’s Lemonis Wins Halt to Looting Suit by ‘Profit’ Contestants

CNBC host and Camping World Holdings Inc. CEO Marcus Lemonis persuaded a Delaware judge Tuesday to pause a lawsuit that alleges he “looted” a fashion company that appeared on his hit business rescue show, “The Profit,” while parallel litigation plays out in federal court.

Vice Chancellor Morgan Zurn issued a temporary stay halting Delaware Chancery Court proceedings pending the outcome of a case filed the same day by the same former contestants in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. She cited “the rule against claim splitting.”
