Citi Hires Cohen-Mintz From Goldman for Sponsor Business

Citigroup Inc. has hired David Cohen-Mintz from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as a managing director within the global asset managers team of its investment banking business.

Cohen-Mintz will work on supporting Citigroup’s strategic sponsor clients and is set to join the US bank in the fall after a period of gardening leave, according to a memo reviewed by Bloomberg News.

He will be based in New York and report to Michael Marcus and Michael Quadrino, co-heads of the global asset managers franchise for North America.

A representative for Citigroup declined to comment.
