Chinese authorities have prosecuted people responsible for fabricating and spreading stock market rumors in a bid to stem the circulation of false information, state-owned Securities Times reported.
Eliminating the spread of falsehoods related to the stock market has become a major goal for the China Securities Regulatory Commission, which aims to regulate the dissemination of information in the capital market and improve monitoring, the newspaper said Saturday.
