Chile’s VTR Reports Higher Earnings After Claro Merger (Correct)

Chilean telecommunications company VTR Finance NV said its financial performance improved in the last quarter of 2023 because of its merger with Claro.

Revenue grew 1% and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda, jumped 25% during the last quarter of 2023 from the previous quarter, the company said in a statement Friday. VTR posted a 12% drop in revenue and a 46% decline in Ebitda for the whole year, compared with 2022.
