Carlyle Names Financial-Services Chief John Redett as CFO (1)

Carlyle Group Inc. promoted John Redett to succeed Curt Buser as chief financial officer, the first C-suite appointment by new Chief Executive Officer Harvey Schwartz.

Redett, a 16-year Carlyle veteran who leads the firm’s private equity investments in financial-services companies, will start in the new role on Oct. 1, the Washington-based firm said Tuesday in a statement. He’ll also head corporate strategy and work with Schwartz to steer Carlyle’s expansion plans and any acquisitions.
