Carlyle, Insight to Buy Exiger at $1.2 Billion Value: WSJ (1)

Carlyle Group Inc. and Insight Partners have agreed to buy Exiger in a deal that values the risk-management and supply-chain software company at $1.2 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter who it didn’t identify.

Carlyle and Insight acquired a controlling stake while existing investor Carrick Capital Partners kept a minority interest, the newspaper said. Exiger’s managers and founders also participated, it said. The bidders beat out Blackstone, which put in a rival offer, according to the Journal.

Exiger confirmed that Carlyle and Insight had invested in a statement on Tuesday, without disclosing financial details. ...
