Car Parts Distributor LKQ to Explore Sale in Review of Options

LKQ Corp. is weighing a sale of the company as the automotive salvage and parts specialist explores options to boost shareholder returns.

The company is working with advisers as part of a review of strategic alternatives, LKQ said Monday in a statement. It will also continue with a previously announced process to explore a sale of its specialty segment.

LKQ is an auto parts distributor specializing in recycled and salvaged components, with revenue of more than $14 billion last year.
