Bridgepoint Confirms IPO in Biggest U.K. Buyout Listing in Years

Buyout firm Bridgepoint Group confirmed it was proceeding with an initial public offering, moving a step closer to becoming the first major U.K. private equity company to list in nearly three decades.

The investor filed a confirmation of intention-to-float document on Tuesday morning after last week announcing plans to raise about 300 million pounds ($417 million) and list at least a quarter of its shares on the London Stock Exchange. The offering is expected to value the company at about 2 billion pounds.
