BofA Hires Italy State Bank’s Lo Piccolo to Boost M&A Unit (1)

Bank of America Corp. hired Vito Lo Piccolo from Italian state-lender Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA’s to strengthen its investment banking division, people with knowledge of the matter said.

Lo Piccolo, 46, will join as senior managing director with responsibility for Italian capital markets, the people said, asking to not be named because the process is private. He’ll be based in Milan and report to country head Antonino Mattarella.

Representatives for BofA and CDP declined to comment.
