BofA Hires Former Morgan Stanley Banker Liu for Technology Deals

Bank of America Corp. hired former Morgan Stanley banker Ed Liu for its technology and investment banking team.

Liu, based in New York, joins BofA’s investment bank as vice chair of technology investment banking and global head of software investment banking, according to a memo sent to staff Monday. He will report to Johnny Williams and Ric Spencer, co-heads of global technology investment banking. A representative for Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bank of America confirmed the contents of the memo.
