BofA Hires Banker from Santander to Expand Brazil M&A Business

Bank of America Corp hired Pedro Franco from Banco Santander SA’s Brazil unit to expand its merger and acquisition advisory business in Latin America’s biggest economy, people familiar to the matter said.

Franco, a former vice president at Santander’s investment banking unit in Brazil, reports to Bank of America’s head of M&A for Brazil Diogo Aragao, the people said, asking not to be identified because no public announcement has been made. He started at BofA’s office in Sao Paulo this week.

Franco has also worked at Banco Safra SA and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP among other firms.
