BNP Hires Barclays Investment Banker Witz to Lead Industrials

BNP Paribas SA has hired Barclays Plcsenior investment banker Edward Witz to lead the bank’s industrials group, according to people familiar with the matter.

Witz is starting at BNP as head of industrials investment banking in February, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing a private matter. He previously led global auto and commercial vehicle investment banking at Barclays in New York.

Witz and representatives from Barclays and BNP all declined to comment.
