Blackstone’s Blitzer, Main Street Buy Into MotoGP Team

David Blitzer’s investment firm Bolt Ventures is part of a consortium putting up $50 million to acquire MotoGP team Red Bull KTM Tech3.

Bolt and Main Street Advisors have partnered with IKON Capital on the deal. IKON’s participation was announced in September, with former Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner serving as chief executive officer of the team.

The investment makes Blitzer and Main Street’s founder and CEO, Paul Wachter, the first American investors to take a stake in a MotoGP team since the motorcycle racing league was acquired by Liberty Media Corp for €4.2 billion ...
