Blackstone Hires Ex-Greenlight Manager to Pick Stock Funds (1)

Blackstone Inc. hired Mitch Golden, who left David Einhorn’s Greenlight Capital last year to start his own firm, to pick equity hedge funds.

Golden, 50, will begin his new role as head of equities for Blackstone Portfolio Solutions in May and report to David Ben-Ur, chief investment officer of that unit. A spokeswoman for the New York-based firm confirmed the hiring. A spokesman for Golden declined to comment.
