Blackstone Bids Over $6.19 Billion for Crown Resorts, AFR Says

Australian casino operator Crown Resorts Ltd. received a takeover offer from Blackstone Group Inc. worth more than A$8 billion ($6.19 billion), Australian Financial Review reported, citing people close to the company.

The offer, that includes the company’s casino properties in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, exceeds A$11 a share, AFR said. Crown Resorts shares closed at A$9.86 in Sydney on Friday.

Crown, advised by UBS Group AG, is expected to disclose the offer on Monday, AFR said. Blackstone bought about 10% of the casino operator last year for A$552 million.
